Bat Conservancy of Coastal California (BCCC) was founded in 2011 with a mission focusing on public education about the many unique and varied species of bats.
The roots of BCCC can be traced back to the mid-1990s and the California Bat Conservation Fund (CBCF) founded by bat conservationist Patricia Winters, a respected pioneer with more than 40 years of experience in bat rehabilitation. CBCF was disbanded in 2010 following Patricia’s death, and BCCC was subsequently formed as a way to honor her legacy of promoting bat welfare and conservation.
Bat Conservancy of Coastal California is a 501C3 nonprofit organization supported through private donations. All donations are tax-deductible.
